A little girl saved up every dollar she earned selling bracelets at the farmer's market to afford the one gift she always wanted for herself: Her very own cat companion.
There's a reason cat people are so devoted to their pets. Despite felines being equal parts fragile and formidable, cats have a way of carving out a place in our human hearts, wedging their toe beans and their tickly whiskers into our lives before they ever set foot into our homes. Oftentimes, kids lack the foresight to plan their lives around a future feline buddy, but this little girl is built differently. She set her sights on becoming a proud cat owner, and after a summer of making numerous handmade bracelets, she earned enough money to make her dreams come true. With all of the coins and dollar bills in her piggy bank, she traded her summer side hustle for a calico beauty named Catlyn.
Together, these cuties will have a wonderful friendship that all started because of one little girl's ceaseless determination.
